Where it sits in the set

Every figure below is counted from the 152 popups captured in the same pass, not from a benchmark report.

  • The offer is not money off. 19 of 152 popups lead with a gift, shipping or membership perks instead of a discount.
  • The field is on the first pane, no gate. 76 of 152 popups (50%) still do that.
  • Rendered by Alia, the most common vendor in the set, accounting for 56 of the 152 popups.
  • Trigger is on load, which 13 of 152 popups use.
  • On desktop the card covers 10% of the viewport, larger than 7% of the desktop captures.
  • The first field asks for email, as 104 of the 108 popups where a field was visible do.

This brand in The Handoff

Pique Life also has an ad and landing page teardown in The Handoff, which is where this brand list came from. The handoff there is rated {'rating': 'Partial', 'note': 'The ad lays the offer out like a parts diagram: a pale blue bottle under FREE BOTTLE, two Fountain cartons under 56 SERVINGS, a fan of sachets under FREE SAMPLES, all beneath a struck 15% replaced by 20% OFF and an END OF SUMMER SALE pill. The destination is the right product, the Deep Hydration Protocol starter kit, and the same cartons and sachets appear in the first image on the page. The problem is what sits on top of it: a panel reading Want 12 Samples? ($30 Gift, On Us!) covers the price, the gift list and the buy button, so the first ask after a discount ad is an email address for samples the ad had already promised. Scroll past it and the page argues formula, before and after photos and expert quotes, but never restates the sale in the words the creative used.'}. Read the Pique Life teardown.

How this was captured

Headless Chromium, US egress, fresh session, first visit. The page was loaded, scrolled, and on desktop given an exit-intent pass, with up to 32 seconds allowed for a timed popup. Nothing was typed into any form. Where a popup hid its field behind a yes/no or a quiz, a single click was allowed to reveal the next pane and no further, so "first field" means the first field a visitor actually sees. The same capture re-runs the week of Black Friday and this page gains a second column.

Want your own popup, flows and offer read against this baseline before Q4? That is a week of The Read.
