Where it sits in the set

Every figure below is counted from the 152 popups captured in the same pass, not from a benchmark report.

  • The offer is not money off. 19 of 152 popups lead with a gift, shipping or membership perks instead of a discount.
  • The field is on the first pane, no gate. 76 of 152 popups (50%) still do that.
  • Rendered by Alia, the most common vendor in the set, accounting for 56 of the 152 popups.
  • Trigger is scroll, which 21 of 152 popups use.
  • On desktop the card covers 50% of the viewport, larger than 73% of the desktop captures.
  • The first field asks for email, as 104 of the 108 popups where a field was visible do.

This brand in The Handoff

Plant People also has an ad and landing page teardown in The Handoff, which is where this brand list came from. The handoff there is rated {'rating': 'Partial', 'note': 'The frame shows a woman standing in a hallway at night pressing both hands to her face, so the only promise it makes is a bad night, and the page does answer that: Wonder Sleep Mushroom Gummies, zero sugar, no melatonin badged on the pouch, and a benefit column reading fall asleep faster, stay asleep longer, wake up clear headed. Two things get in the way of it. An empty Your cart drawer is open over the right column, covering the price and half of the product title, and the buy box defaults to Subscribe and Save 20% with Buy Once demoted underneath. An unbranded video that sold one rough night is offering a standing order before it has sold a first tub.'}. Read the Plant People teardown.

How this was captured

Headless Chromium, US egress, fresh session, first visit. The page was loaded, scrolled, and on desktop given an exit-intent pass, with up to 32 seconds allowed for a timed popup. Nothing was typed into any form. Where a popup hid its field behind a yes/no or a quiz, a single click was allowed to reveal the next pane and no further, so "first field" means the first field a visitor actually sees. The same capture re-runs the week of Black Friday and this page gains a second column.

Want your own popup, flows and offer read against this baseline before Q4? That is a week of The Read.
