What will Shopify Plus actually cost you?
The $2,300 sticker is the smallest line on the invoice. Your real bill is the platform fee (or 0.25% of GMV), plus payment processing, apps, and services. Answer a few questions and get your all-in monthly cost, as dollars and as a share of revenue.
How the Shopify Plus cost is calculated
The platform fee is the greater of the flat monthly fee ($2,300 on a 3-year term, $2,500 on 1-year) or 0.25% of your monthly GMV, capped at $40,000 a month. On top of that sits payment processing (a percent of GMV), a 0.20% Plus transaction fee if you use a third-party gateway instead of Shopify Payments, your app and software stack, and any agency or development. The result is your all-in monthly cost and what it works out to as a share of revenue.
Above roughly $920,000 in monthly GMV the 0.25% revenue share overtakes the flat fee, so high-volume brands are effectively on variable pricing until the $40,000 cap.
