Where it sits in the set

Every figure below is counted from the 152 popups captured in the same pass, not from a benchmark report.

  • The offer is not money off. 19 of 152 popups lead with a gift, shipping or membership perks instead of a discount.
  • The field is on the first pane, no gate. 76 of 152 popups (50%) still do that.
  • Rendered by Klaviyo, the second most common, accounting for 55 of the 152 popups.
  • Trigger is on load, which 13 of 152 popups use.
  • On desktop the card covers 38% of the viewport, larger than 62% of the desktop captures.
  • The first field asks for both, as 2 of the 108 popups where a field was visible do.

This brand in The Handoff

Dermalogica also has an ad and landing page teardown in The Handoff, which is where this brand list came from. The handoff there is rated {'rating': 'Partial', 'note': 'The ad is a stopwatch: "1 USE skin looks + acts younger", "2 WEEKS visibly diminishes fine lines + wrinkles", "8 WEEKS gives 6 years back". The page is the right purple bottle at $158 with no discount claimed on either side, and it keeps two of the claims as annotated callouts, "accelerates skin\'s natural cellular renewal" and "diminishes the appearance of fine lines + wrinkles", but it strips the dates off both and the strongest line, "gives 6 years back", appears nowhere in the captured frame. The offer bar on arrival is about something else entirely, "Ends Tonight: Daily Protect + Renew Trio Offer | You\'re $100.00 away from 3 free gifts + free shipping", captured 2026-08-20. The visitor arrives holding a timeline and the page has taken the clock off it.'}. Read the Dermalogica teardown.

How this was captured

Headless Chromium, US egress, fresh session, first visit. The page was loaded, scrolled, and on desktop given an exit-intent pass, with up to 32 seconds allowed for a timed popup. Nothing was typed into any form. Where a popup hid its field behind a yes/no or a quiz, a single click was allowed to reveal the next pane and no further, so "first field" means the first field a visitor actually sees. The same capture re-runs the week of Black Friday and this page gains a second column.
