Where it sits in the set

Every figure below is counted from the 152 popups captured in the same pass, not from a benchmark report.

  • The offer is 15% off. The median percent offer in the set is 15% and the mode is 15%, so this sits above 26% of the 84 percent offers captured. 21 brands in the set landed on the same number.
  • The field is on the first pane, no gate. 76 of 152 popups (50%) still do that.
  • Rendered by Alia, the most common vendor in the set, accounting for 56 of the 152 popups.
  • It waits 2.9 seconds. The median timed popup in the set fires at 7.3s, so this one is faster than the middle, and 3 of 114 timed popups appear sooner.
  • On desktop the card covers 81% of the viewport, larger than 94% of the desktop captures.
  • The first field asks for email, as 104 of the 108 popups where a field was visible do.

This brand in The Handoff

Feetures also has an ad and landing page teardown in The Handoff, which is where this brand list came from. The handoff there is rated {'rating': 'Partial', 'note': 'Right product, wrong fifteen percent. The ad offers "Save up to 15% when you bundle with Feetures" and points at the correct three pack product page. The first view of that page is a full screen email capture reading "Sign up to get 15% off your first order", which attaches the same number to a different mechanism: the ad\'s saving is earned by buying more, the page\'s is earned by handing over an email. Behind the modal the correct socks are present but ghosted, and the visible hero image is a pastel crew sock rather than the black no show pack the ad photographed. The page\'s own source carries no "Save up to 15" and no "15% off" string at all, so the ad\'s framing is never restated in words a reader can match. A shopper who arrived to bundle has to work out which fifteen applies to them.'}. Read the Feetures teardown.

How this was captured

Headless Chromium, US egress, fresh session, first visit. The page was loaded, scrolled, and on desktop given an exit-intent pass, with up to 32 seconds allowed for a timed popup. Nothing was typed into any form. Where a popup hid its field behind a yes/no or a quiz, a single click was allowed to reveal the next pane and no further, so "first field" means the first field a visitor actually sees. The same capture re-runs the week of Black Friday and this page gains a second column.

Want your own popup, flows and offer read against this baseline before Q4? That is a week of The Read.
