Obvi ad teardown: Before after
Owns before-and-after in a category where the format usually reads as predatory.
“Transformation pairs framed with empathy rather than shame.”

Page teardown
Looked for a before/after transformation-pair static using real customer photos with empathetic (non-shaming) copy, per Curtis Howland's 82.1%-static dataset citation. All 30 captured Obvi crops share the same 'back in stock, X units sold, world's FIRST collagen-infused weight management product' restock/BOGO campaign for Obvi Burn, captured Jul-Aug 2026. Visually inspected 6 representative images: one illustrated (non-photo) cartoon-avatar rebound/before-after graphic with aggressive framing ('Food noise came back loud'), plus several 'Muffin Top Killer' / 'FUPA' / 'Bat Wings' product statics - tonally the opposite of the empathetic framing described, and none used real customer photos. The June 2026 before/after this entry describes is not in this capture.
The read
Howland's dataset puts Obvi at 82.1% static. The differentiator is tonal: the copy around the transformation pair is empathetic rather than accusatory, which is what keeps the format from triggering backlash in a weight-adjacent category.
Why it works
- Empathetic framing is what makes the format survivable. The same two photos with shaming copy produce comment-section backlash that suppresses delivery.
- Static wins on iteration speed. An 82% static account can test far more angles per week than a video-led one.
- Real customers, not models. Plausibility matters more than the magnitude of the result.
Objective fit
Subscription. Transformation implies duration, which pre-frames a recurring order rather than a single purchase.

Where it breaks
Meta's policies around health and body imagery are strict and unevenly enforced. This format carries real account risk that a comparison static does not.
