Little Spoon ad teardown: Grandparents
Runs a parallel creative line for the buyer who is not the user and not the obvious target.
“A second creative track addressed to grandparents, not parents.”

Ad creative not captured
No ad creative could be paired with this page. All 26 Little Spoon ads captured for this entry address a parent, or make a general trust and product case, and none uses the grandparent or gift framing this entry describes. The read below is of the landing page on its own.
The read
Rather than treating grandparents as a spillover audience reached by parent-targeted creative, Little Spoon builds for them directly. The purchase motivation is different: it is a gift and a way to be useful, not a solution to the buyer's own logistics problem.
What the ad does
- Same product, different job. A parent buys back time and a grandparent buys involvement, so the objection set moves with the buyer: price sensitivity drops and whether the parents will approve rises. One creative cannot carry both motives, which is why a second track is built rather than letting parent creative spill over.
- Nothing in the current capture is running it. All 26 August 2026 crops address a parent directly, or dad for Father's Day, or make a general trust and product case. None use grandparent, gift, or grandma and grandpa framing, so the June track has rotated out and this entry rests on Modern Retail rather than on a creative in hand.
Objective fit
Subscription, and gift-originated subscriptions retain differently. Worth cohorting separately rather than blending into the parent numbers.
Little Spoon ran this subscription campaign to the landing page below, captured August 2026. Runs a parallel creative line for the buyer who is not the user and not the obvious target. Because the ad creative could not be found in the Ad Library, the entry carries no handoff rating: a rating measures the distance between two artefacts and only one of them is here.

- What to fix: Build the grandparent track its own landing page before putting spend behind it. A gift buyer who arrives on parent facing copy has to translate the offer back into their own situation, and the frame is lost in the first screen.

How this was evidenced
- Evidence
- Ad not captured The landing page was captured, but the ad creative could not be found in the Ad Library, so there is no pair and no rating.

What to fix
Build the grandparent track its own landing page before putting spend behind it. A gift buyer who arrives on parent facing copy has to translate the offer back into their own situation, and the frame is lost in the first screen. Cohort gift originated subscriptions separately as well, since they retain differently and will otherwise disappear into the parent numbers.
