Boka ad teardown: Boka
A hand held sink demo of the green Renew bottle lands on its own product page, where alcohol free and pH balanced lead the copy.
“BOKA”

Handoff: Continuous
The bottle in the ad and the bottle on the page are the same object down to the finish: mint green, matte, BOKA in dark type across the shoulder, Renew Mouthwash underneath. The page opens on Renew Prebiotic Liquid Mouthwash and its first paragraph names prebiotic ingredients, alcohol-free and pH-balanced, the exact terms the ad is set up to pay off, with Fluoride-free and pH Balanced badges repeating them a screen later. Register carries too: the ad is a real bathroom sink with a black faucet and a drying mat, and the page is Gentle Mint plus Lemongrass on a bed of leaves rather than a clinical rinse aisle.
The read
A vertical hand held frame shot over a white farmhouse sink with a matte black faucet, a drying mat and a countertop jar just out of focus behind it. Two hands hold a mint green Boka bottle at chest height, one twisting the cap free, the other gripping the base, a tattoo visible on the wrist. The BOKA wordmark reads cleanly across the front and the smaller Renew Mouthwash line under it does not. No overlay text, no caption card, no price, no button.
Why it works
- The open is the whole ad. Uncapping the bottle over a sink is the first second of actually using it, and it puts the viewer in their own bathroom before any claim is made.
- It is shot at the wrong angle on purpose. Slight blur, ceiling light, no colour grade, hands in frame. That is the grammar of a video a friend sent, and it earns a second of attention that a studio packshot in the same slot would not.
- The colour does the branding. Boka's green is unusual in an aisle of blue and purple rinses, so the bottle is recognisable at a glance and the same green greets the click.
Objective fit
A demo unit pointed at the single product being demoed, which is the correct destination. The page reinforces it by defaulting to one-time purchase with a subscription option priced above it, so a cold buyer is not forced into a plan on the first visit.

Where it breaks
The star rating sits above the product name and reads 3.4 from a small review count, so the first thing a cold visitor reads after the ad is a middling score. If the count is thin because the formula was recently reworked, say so next to the stars rather than letting the number stand alone at the top of the page.
