Brooklinen ad teardown: Meet New Luxier Luxe Sheets
A censored profanity doing the job of a softness claim, run across three framings, two of which route off the main store onto a paid social subdomain.
“Meet New Luxier Luxe Sheets”

Handoff: Partial
The ad reads Meet New Luxier Luxe Sheets over So #@!&ing Soft across three olive sateen frames, and the click lands on a dedicated paid-social page for the Luxe Sateen Core Sheet Set at From: $143.65 struck from $169.00. The softness argument survives in the eyebrow, OUR BUTTERY-SOFT BEST SELLER, NAMED BEST SHEETS BY ARCHITECTURAL DIGEST, with 4.5 stars from 24,428 reviews. Two things weaken on the click: new and luxier becomes best seller, and the olive green that carries all three ad panels is absent from the white packshot and from the eight neutral swatches under it. The censored profanity doing all the work in the creative has no echo on the page, which arrives in a much quieter register.
The read
The top panel is a hand gripping olive sateen under the headline Meet New Luxier Luxe Sheets with the subhead So #@!&ing Soft, then two yellow-bordered stills below of a man asleep in the same sheets. The censored profanity is the claim, and it repeats in the primary text: Our Luxe Sheets are so #@!&ing soft you'll order room service at home. A full-bleed vertical cut promotes that line to the headline and sets an Architectural Digest approved seal beside it. A third cut drops the profanity entirely for One Click, Endless Indulgent Sleeps over the same product. The routing is the part worth noting. This ad does not go to brooklinen.com. It lands on shop.brooklinen.com/20260716-evergreen-product-luxe-sateen-core-sheet-set, and it is one of two ads in the set on that subdomain, the other being the bed insert bundle at /20260514-paid-social-utility. The remaining 21 statics all point at the main store.
What the ad does
- The joke is the claim. Softness cannot be proved in a still image, so the brand substitutes the intensity of the reaction: So #@!&ing Soft under Meet New Luxier Luxe Sheets. Censoring keeps it inside platform policy while making it land harder, and the primary text extends the line to so #@!&ing soft you'll order room service at home.
- An award seal buys the crude line permission. The full-bleed cut sets an Architectural Digest approved seal directly against the profanity, which is what stops the register reading as a discount brand shouting. The page then keeps the seal and drops the swearing: OUR BUTTERY-SOFT BEST SELLER, NAMED BEST SHEETS BY ARCHITECTURAL DIGEST, 4.5 stars from 24,428 reviews.
- Two ads route off the main store. This one lands on shop.brooklinen.com/20260716-evergreen-product-luxe-sateen-core-sheet-set and the bed insert bundle on /20260514-paid-social-utility, while the remaining 21 statics point at brooklinen.com. That is a second template and a second analytics surface, both sitting behind dated slugs.
Objective fit
Conversion / Purchase. The destination is a dedicated Luxe Sateen core sheet set page rather than a collection, so the click resolves onto one buyable set, and the dated slug suggests the page is built per campaign rather than reused.
Brooklinen ran this conversion creative to the landing page it clicked through to, both captured August 2026. A censored profanity doing the job of a softness claim, run across three framings, two of which route off the main store onto a paid social subdomain. Read as a pair, the handoff rates partial.

- What to fix: Put the olive back on the page, or shoot the ad in a colour the page actually sells.

Variants of the same system (3)
The Luxe Sateen relaunch runs in at least three framings, a split panel, a full-bleed vertical with the Architectural Digest seal and a softer cut that drops the profanity. Two of the three route to the main store, the split panel does not. Observed 2026-08-19.
What to fix
Put the olive back on the page, or shoot the ad in a colour the page actually sells. All three panels are olive sateen and the lander is a white packshot over eight neutral swatches, so the one visual constant across the set disappears at the click. Diary the dated slug as well: a page named for 20260716 sitting behind a live ad is how a paid social lander goes stale without anyone noticing.
