ALIGNE ad teardown: Aligne
A bare packshot of a black button-front blazer, no text on the frame, opens the exact product: Daphne Waisted Blazer in black at $265.

Handoff: Continuous
The garment in the ad is the garment on the page: same collarless crew neckline, same four buttons stopping at the waist, same black. The page opens on Daphne Waisted Blazer at $265 with black already selected out of two colourways and the full US 0 to US 18 size run visible, so nothing the click promised has to be hunted for. Two things intrude on that fold: a cookie bar that covers the lower third on arrival, and a PayPal instalment line quoting pounds under a dollar price.
The read
This is catalogue advertising with nothing burned into the frame. It relies entirely on the garment being legible on a white square, and the blazer is: the waist split and the button placement are the whole design story. The page then does what the ad refused to, showing the piece on a body with wide-leg denim and boots, which is the styling context a flat shot cannot carry.
Why it works
- The packshot is the promise. A silhouette this specific means the page has one job, showing the same silhouette, and the first product image on a model delivers it.
- Selection is pre-made. Colour is on black and the size grid is fully in view, so the only remaining action is choosing a size and adding to cart.
- The currency slips at the money line. The price reads $265.00 while the PayPal instalment underneath quotes £88.34, which is the one detail on the fold that makes a buyer stop and check what they are being charged.
Objective fit
A single-SKU purchase click. The page is a standard PDP and treats it that way, with cart above the fold and Shop the Look below.

Where it breaks
A textless packshot gives the page no phrase to echo, so everything rests on visual recognition. Any deviation in the lead image, a different colourway or a cropped shot, would read as the wrong product.
