Madhappy ad teardown: Madhappy
The exact grey Pantry zip up lands on its own $185 page, then a shipping capture modal and a cookie bar cover the size row and the cart.

Handoff: Partial
The garment matches exactly. The heather grey full zip hoodie laid flat in the ad, with the pale blue woven tab on the chest and a second tab at the neck, is the same piece filling the left half of the page under Pantry Heavyweight Fleece Zip Up, $185, colour Campus. Then the page buries its own buy box: a modal reading You've Earned Complimentary Shipping opens over the size row and the add to cart button, a cookie consent bar takes the bottom of the viewport, and behind them the size buttons show XS, XL and XXL greyed out. The visitor arrives at the right product and has to clear two overlays before they can find out whether their size exists.
The read
A flat lay on a plain white sweep: one heather grey heavyweight fleece full zip hoodie arranged face up with the hood spread flat above the shoulders, sleeves relaxed at the sides, kangaroo pocket seams visible across the front. A small pale blue woven label sits at the right chest and another at the neck, both too small to read. Soft shadowless studio light, no model, no props, no overlay type, no price.
Why it works
- The cut is the pitch. Laid flat with the hood spread, the frame shows the boxy body, the sleeve length and the pocket placement, which is what a repeat buyer of heavyweight fleece is actually deciding on.
- The label is deliberately quiet. A small woven tab instead of a chest logo signals the piece can be worn by someone who does not want to advertise the brand, and that self-selects the audience.
- White sweep buys a second look. In a feed of motion and faces, a bare catalogue still reads as a product someone already decided to sell you, which suits a warm audience seeing it more than once.
Objective fit
A single garment shot pointed at that garment's page with the colour preselected, which is the right destination for a warm click. The intent is purchase and the page can serve it, once the overlays are gone.

Where it breaks
Two overlays on arrival, one asking for an email and a phone number before the visitor has seen the price, is a lot of friction for a $185 piece. It also lands on a page where half the size run appears unavailable, so hold the email capture until a size is selected or the visitor scrolls.
