LeLick ad teardown: Hydration, but make it candy
A creator-fronted spot for electrolyte lollipops, selling a new form factor into a category tired of powders.
“Hydration, but make it candy.”

Handoff: Continuous
The ad's claim and the page's headline are the same idea in two registers. The creative says "Hydration, but make it candy" and the page opens on "[ INTRODUCING ] ELECTROLYTE LOLLIPOPS" with the supporting line "Better-for-you candy with less sugar, fancy flavors, and premium ingredients perfect for your next workout." and the aside "(Not your average lollipop, is it?)". Product, format and register all survive the click. A SHOP NOW button sits in the first view and nothing covers it. The only overlay is a "BUNDLE UP, BUTTERCUP" announcement strip in the standard top position, which occupies a strip and hides nothing. The ad carries no offer, and the page's bundle saving does not argue against it. Note for the record that the captured URL resolved to enjoylelick.com/?selling_plan=8518828088, a Shopify selling plan appended on load rather than a different page.
The read
A creator selfie shot in a mirror, holding the product to camera, with no production gloss and no on-screen text beyond the caption. The argument is entirely about form factor: the copy states plainly that this is "a lollipop with sodium, potas[sium]" rather than another powder. In a category where the incumbent formats are sachets and tubs, the creative spends its attention on what the thing physically is instead of on ingredient superiority, which is the correct order for a product whose novelty is the delivery mechanism.
What the ad does
- The format carries the whole argument. Copy that opens "Hydration, but make it candy" sells a delivery mechanism, not a formulation, which is the only defensible ground in a category where every brand lists the same three electrolytes.
- The homepage is the funnel. All 28 sampled ads point at enjoylelick.com with no path, and every CTA on that page is an in page anchor to the buy box, so one page carries the entire account.
Objective fit
Conversion despite the soft creator register: the destination is a single page that opens on the product and puts a buy box within one anchor click.
LeLick ran this conversion creative to the landing page it clicked through to, both captured August 2026. A creator-fronted spot for electrolyte lollipops, selling a new form factor into a category tired of powders. Read as a pair, the handoff rates continuous.

- Where the handoff lands: The ad's claim and the page's headline are the same idea in two registers.
- What to fix: Split the destination before scaling spend. One pathless homepage behind every ad means no creative can ever be attributed to a lander, and it forfeits the flavour and use case pages this catalogue already supports.

How this was evidenced
- Evidence
- Homepage destination The ad was captured and its own recorded destination was followed. That destination is the brand's homepage, because that is where the advertiser points the click, not because the page was picked afterwards.
